Building Credibility
From our participant interviews, they were keen on learning how the organization did what they did and if it was ethical. They wanted to learn how communities we're being incorporated with the organization/projects, and if it had an ethical approach. (I'm not exactly sure what an ethical approach entails, but I'm assuming anything against voluntourism.)
When interviewing long-term volunteer, it was quoted that "it was hard to know what i'll be doing." There was ambiguity of what the long term program entailed, and I think the same ambiguity is here.
I assume : If we're able to elaborate on our approach, we can build credibility and trust with visitors, partners, long-term volunteers, and potential donors - as we're elaborating on the costs/process.
Other questions were:
What's the process?
How is success measured?
Are community members always dependant on WindAid? How?
From the competitive analysis (i.e. other NGO websites) I found that they tend to included their business model as well. I can only assume it's to build trust with volunteers and those who donate.
