Currently, hybrid courses do not need Quality Matters Approval

3) Challenge

A small group of faculty are APPQRM trained to review courses. Additionally, this handful of faculty also carry a full-time course load, causing a major backlog of courses waiting to go through the review process.

2) Challenge

There is no requirement for faculty to attend the institution's Quality Matters - How to Use the QM Rubric to Design Your Online course live workshop, also available as an on-demand asynchronous workshop, or Use the QM Online Syllabus or Use the QM LMS Template; thus, courses when forwarded to review, are not even close to meeting the standards which valuable time is wasted.

1) Challenge

Courses sent to EPC for approval only require course description, prereq/co-req, and topical outline. It is common to discover that the completed course activities/assessments may not meet the end-of-program outcomes or align with the accreditation essentials.
