Fast-food restaurants also have mascots, again to get the attention of children.
A child wants some fast-food, so instead of getting one customer, the fast-food restaurants will get 3, because the parents will go as well.
McDonald's restaurants hire teenagers because they have low work experience.
They have low work experience, so McDonald's can work them longer and pay them less.
A lot of teenagers need a way to make money, so McDonald's is a perfect place for them to work, because they accept a lot of teenagers.
