        Some steps to follow when writing learning outcomes
        
        Start with a clear statement
        
        Write learning outcomes in the future tense and choose a verb from a taxonomy that describes the intended outcome most precisely
        
        Write clear, simple and concise sentences that can be understood by students, peers, internal and external bodies
        
        All learning outcomes have to be observable and measurable.
        
        Ask colleagues or students to review your learning outcomes to ensure that they are clear, specific and aligned to the course level.
