Security- Territorial dispute and the South China Sea, migration and irregular movement of people, cyber security and terrorism.
Economy- Industrial Revolution 4.0, digital economy, ASEAN and fairer systems of international trade and finance.
Identity- Human rights, assistance in post-conflict and post-disaster situations.
Objective of the policy
Preserve, defend and develop Malaysia interests in the international arena .
Preserve and defend the independence, sovereignty and security
Face political ,economic, security and social development and challenges in world stage.
Defend and advance the right, interest and aspiration on Malaysia.
Cultivate cordial relation and increase cooperation with other countries.
Conclusion: The reformation made to the policy will act as important guides to the direction of the New Malaysia's Foreign Policy.
Challenges and constraint faced during the process
The government must restructure the budget allocation into the changes of the policy accordingly to the current situation
People takes time to adapt to the changes made in the policy due to the pandemic COVID-19
The relationship with another country might affected because some of the country are not agree with the changes made in the policy.
