Effects: antiarrhythmic, reduce contractility and impair AV conduction
Clinical uses: antiarrhythmic, angina, hypertension
Side effects: headahce, constipation, ankle edema, cardiac failure
Beta Blockers
Decrease HR, contractility of the heart

May cause increase in peripheral resistance and central venous pressure -> reduce coronary blood flow
Nitrates
MOA: Nitroglycerin forms free radical nitric oxide-> vasodilation on peripheral veins and arteries with more prominent effects on the veins

Adverse effects
facial flushing, headaches
Hypotention, fainting, reflex tachycardia
