Text A: "Years go by as quickly as a wink". This is a simile that compares years with a wink. Suggesting that, years go by very fast, as winking is a matter of seconds. Similarly, years will go by in that speed.
Text A: "How far can you travel when you are six feet underground?". This phrase is a metaphor for death. It implies to the fact that when you are dead, you are buried under the ground. In addition to this, it is also a rhetorical question asking the audience about how will they see the world when they are dead.
Text A: The theme is about enjoying your present without trying to live in the future. It brings out the message, that life is limited, enjoy while it lasts.
Text A: Doris has used sarcastic tone throughout the song. For example "imagine all the fun you'll have in your old rock'in chair". In this phrase the writer tries to bring out how people always say that they will live life after they have earned, but the reality is that, by then they will not have the strength they do today. Suggesting that they will be old. The writer uses sarcasm to make the audience realise that what they believe in or have planned will not really make sense in reality.
Text A: "Enjoy yourself" has been repeated throughout the song, to emphasize on the main message of the poem, that is to enjoy every moment. The repetition of this phrase keeps reminding the audience that they need to stop worrying and start enjoying.
Text A: The purpose of this song is to express the importance of living in the moment and enjoying yourself. Because what is life when you do not have fun right?
Text A: "Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink". Pink is the symbol of youth. Suggesting that enjoy while you are young. Because you never know what is coming your way. You can not decide how you will be when you are older.
Text A: The song has a rhyme scheme. For stanzas it is AABB and for the chorus it is CCCC. This rhyme scheme gives the song a wonderful tune. It makes it fun to read the lyrics. It makes the song sound playful. Which is again related to the theme.

You worry when you're not". This suggests that, we tend to over analyze situation and think pessimistically. We are not happy or satisfied with what we have done.

Text B: Shows 2 old people, who are smiling. Suggesting that they are happy as they have invested in a pension plan. So that they do not have to worry.
Text B: When you are old you do not have the physical ability to work. Hence, it encourages people to invest in the plan so that when they are old they need not work but still have money.
Text B: The umbrella has been placed beside life coverage. Implying that the umbrella is like a protector that can help in old age.

Similarities: Both encourage the audience to stop worrying. Both texts, showcase approaches to life. Both use symbols to bring out insightful concepts. Both revolve around the concept of money in a sense. Text A, is about how because of earning money people do not relax and enjoy. Text B, is about how it is important to save money.
Differences: Text A, emphasizes on time. That life is limited. Whereas, text B emphasizes on saving money for when you are old. Text A, encourages people to live in the moment. Text B, encourages people to think about the future.
