Cognitive Domain

Definition :The cognitive domain aims to develop the mental skills and the acquisition of knowledge of the individual.
REMEMBERING - Retrieving relevant knowledge from long-term memory.
Example : Recite a policy
UNDERSTANDING - Determining the meaning of instructional messages, including oral, written, and graphic communication.
Example :Rewrites the principles of test writing
APPLYING - Carrying out or using a procedure in a given situation.
Example : Apply laws of statistics to evaluate the reliability of a written test
ANALYZING -Breaking material into its constituent parts and detecting how the parts relate to one another and to an overall structure or purpose.
Example : Recognize logical fallacies in reasoning
EVALUATING - Making judgments based on criteria and standards.
Example : Select the most effective solution
CREATING - Putting elements together to form a novel, coherent whole or make an original product.
Example :Revises and process to improve the outcome.
Psychomotor Domain
FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENT - re inherent movement patterns which are formed by combining of reflex movements and are the basis for complex skilled movements.
Examples : walking, running, pushing, twisting, gripping, grasping, manipulating.
PERCEPTUAL ABILITIES - refers to interpretation of various stimuli that enable one to make adjustments to the environment. Visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or tactile discrimination. Suggests cognitive as well as psychomotor behavior.
Examples : coordinated movements such as jumping rope, punting, or catching.
REFLEX MOVEMENT - actions elicited without learning in response to some stimuli.
Example : flexion, extension, stretch, postural adjustments.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES - require endurance, strength, vigor, and agility which produces a sound, efficiently functioning body.
Examples : a quick, wide range of motion at the hip jont
SKILLED MOVEMENTS - the result of the acquisition of a degree of efficiency when performing a complex task.
Examples : ballet class
Definition : includes physical movement, coordination, and use of the motor-skill areas.
NON-DISCURSIVE COMMUNICATION - communication through bodily movements ranging from facial expressions through sophisticated choreographics.
Examples : body postures, gestures

Affective Domain
RECEIVING - Involves passively paying attention and being aware of the existence of certain ideas , material or phenomena.
Example : Listen to others with respect
RESPONDING - Actively participating in the learning process. (not only aware of a stimulus butreacting to it in some way)
Example : Participates in class discussions.
Definition : involves our feelings, emotions, and attitudes.This domain includes the manner in which we deal with things emotionally, such as feelings, values, appreciation, enthusiasms, motivations, and attitudes.
VALUING - Ability to see value or worth of something to express it
Example : Shows the ability to solve problems.

ORGANIZING - Putting together different values, information and ideas then relating them to already held beliefs to create your own unique value system
Example : Recognizes the need for balance between freedom and responsible behavior
CHARACTERIZING - Acting consistently in accordance with the values you have internalized.
