They walked roughly 4000 miles through from southern to northern China

Roughly 70000 people died during the long march reducing the size of the red army by 75% from 40000 soldiers to only 10000

It was because of the fact that he had the large majority of China on his side that it allowed for his rise into dictatorship
The peasant population were poor and wanted to share the wealth by taking from the rich and giving to the poor

He silenced News stations from saying anything negative about him
If anyone (mainly media) spoke wrong of them they would be immediately fired and more or less charged for 'false slander'
Mao used Propaganda to paint himself in this image that he was their saviour
News outlets were turned into solely propaganda outlets in some way starting what we know now as 'fake news'
Tools that he used to create propaganda
Golden rays of light beaming around him, this created some sort of heavenly figure
He wore an army vest in all of his propaganda which he used to make it seem like he was fighting for the peoples freedom
