I can show my care for my students by talking to them everyday and getting to know them and they're life both inside and outside of school.
I can meet my students where there at by talking to them and seeing how they are doing with course work in terms of being over loaded but also seeing how much they know by pre-assesing. Students also in 6-9th grade also struggle a lot with mental health and identity because of all the changes happening to them physically at this time.
Some of my students concerns could be "doing it right" or "being correct" another big concern of students this age is approval form their peers and being popular.
Who am I Ashley
Some of my own strengths are time management and thinking critically. Some challenges I have are staying positive and working through emotions and staying creative and original.
I can share enthusiasm for my subjects by looking at and sharing amazing artist also working with the subject matter and by looking at these amazing artist I can also set high expectations for my self.
I can question and test my assumptions by always looking at new art and and ideas, but also looking at the work at my own art.
I can care for myself and my own concerns by looking at the art that I am making based on my own emotions and mental health and also talking to others about concerns and ideas.
I am alway taking feedback and ideas on what I need to change on my attitude and behavior. Im a very open person that is always looking for ways to grow, and looking at new ways of learning
What are my outcomes?
I would like my students to learn how to understand and apply emotions in there work or see how they are used in others
I want my students to understand how emotions are present in almost if not everything we do and that even if you don't realize it they are present. And most artist use some form of emotions in there work
I want my students to be comfortable talking about emotions and be understanding of others emotions and also to have them be able to start to identify different emotions or feelings
I want my students to care about there mental health and emotions and also there peers emotions and feelings. I want my students to value emotions and that even though some ,may be negative they are all valuable and important to feel and understand
I want them to be able to use this in the world not only to be able to look more deeply into works of art but also being able to see signs of different emotions of the people around them.
