Engagement Program Hypothesis Tree
We will engage X potential pioneers through two primary channels: working with us and and residential fellowships in Hubs; with these in turn resourced via our network and in-person events such as the quarterly sprints, building fest etc; both of these pathways offer something concrete to participants and generate a contribution to Life Itself whilst allowing the engagement to deepen (or not) naturally.
-
We can hire 10 new people a year of which 50% will be with us 2y later and of which 20% will become pioneers and all hires will have a net positive contribution
Each hire will cost £2k to acquire (mainly in terms of the time used by existing team members to interview/vet), ergo 10 will cost £20k
Triallists feel supported professionally and know how their work contributes to the wider team effort.
-
-
We will be better able to assign work and match load to triallist's interests and skills if they spend time in person with the team in Bergerac.
We have enough work to occupy triallists during their insight week, such that they're never stuck for something to do during working hours
-
When we invite these people for a 1-2 week "insight week" in Bergerac, only 50% will accept.
-
-
Triallists will enjoy getting to know their colleagues more intimately as a result of living in the same building & sharing communal spaces
After a ~3 month trial period, triallists will want to stay on in Bergerac for (up to) a further 6 months, and be happy to pay rent
We can find 10 fellows every 6 months (5 in Berlin, 5 in Bergerac) through the list of best unsuccessful job applicants/triallists; our existing social and professional networks; Life Itself events; conventional residential lettings platforms, e.g. local adverts, spareroom, workaway...
