Act :three: starts off with Macbeth becoming King of Scotland. He is scared, however, by the witches' prophecy of Banquo and decides to kill him and his son, Fleance, as soon as he gets back to his castle. He hires murderers and they kill Banquo, but Fleance escapes. While having a feast, Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo and starts being irrational. Lady Macbeth tries to cover it up by acting like his actions were normal and dismisses the court.
