Non-Commercial business puts people and the community first, ahead of profit. Tend to provide a service for people and are run like a business. Ex- GAA

Stakeholders are individuals and organizations that are affected by the actions, objectives and policies of a business.

Interest Groups
Trade Associations
Represent the interests of businesses involved in the same industry.
SIMI ( Society of the Irish Motor Industry )
Represents the views if the motor industry - dealerships, retailers and vehicle testers. It campaigns to the government, media and the public on issues affecting the motor industry
Other Interest Groups
Trade Union
Eg- SIPTU. Represents the views and interests of employees in particular industries. Protect and improve their members pay and working conditions.
IFA ( Irish Farmers' Association)
Represents the interests of Irish farmers in Ireland and Europe. Lobbies and campaigns to improve farm incomes and conditions for farming families
Business Interest Groups
IBEC( Irish Business and Employers Confederation)
Aim to influence decision-makers such as the government on issues that affect its members. EX- taxation and transport
It also provides advice and support to its members in areas such as Industrial relations.
ISME (Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association)
Represents the views of small and medium sized business owners in Ireland. Ex Raises minimum wage
It also provides advice to its members EX employment law

Relationships
Competitive Stakeholders work towards different goals. Each stakeholder wants to achieve a particular objective at the expense of the other. Win-Lose Scenario
Dependent
The stakeholders need each other for success. One stakeholder is not able to achieve their goals without the help of another stakeholder
Co-Operative The stakeholders work together towards a common goal. This helps to ensure better results than if the stakeholders worked independently or against each other. Win-Win Scenario
Dynamic The relationship between the stakeholders is constantly changing. At times the relationship can be co-operative or dependent and at other times is competitive
