      - Ectoderm:

        Nervous system and brain, sensory receptors (eyes, nose, and ears), and skin (hair and nails)
    - - Amnion:
        
        bag or envolope containing clear fluid which developing embryo floats in
        
        provides environment where temp & humidity controlled

      - Umbilicla Chord:
        
        contains 2 arteries & 1 vein
        
        connects baby to placenta
      - Placenta:
        
        Disk-shaped cluster of tisses which small blood vessels from mother & offspring intertwine but do not join
        
        For waste from fetus to be expelled out of body from being transferred to mothers blood
        
        For nutrients and O2 to be received by fetus through mothers blood
    - - Growth during this period follows 2 principles
        - Cenphalocaudal
        -> head grows more than body
        - Proximodistal
        -> growth o parts nearer to centre of body grow before outer parts o body e.g. hands and feet
        after birth also same principle
      - At arnd 3rd weeks
        
        eyes begin to apprear (but no vison yet)
        
        heart begins to differentiate
        
        At and 4th week
        
        urogenital system is apparent
        
        arm & legs buds emerge
        
        blood vessels appear
        
        at 5th to 8th week
        
        arms & leg differentiate further
        
        face starts to form but not recognizable
        
        intestinal tract dev
        
        facial features fuse
        
        organism 1 ich long
