Active investors and passive investors can choose their investments. Pick funds or companies that you know. Look at performance history before choosing.
Invest in different types of companies to reduce risk. Mutual Funds and Index Funds are low risk. Watching funds as a day trader is high risk and not for beginners. Look at international and global funds to boost diversification.
Think long term. Leave your money in the market and give it time to work for you. Fear is not your friend - a steady hand will profit in the end.
