- - - - Today, the SDGs set out 17 global objectives to be achieved by 2030 that cover a broad range of development issues:
      - ending poverty and hunger
      - improving health and education
      - making cities more sustainable
      - combating climate change and
      - protecting oceans and forests.
      - all countries, and education is a theme in each of the 17 objectives.
- - - - kept 90% of children out of schooling putting developments made back years!!
      - in poor countries only 79% of the richest 20% complete schooling - poorest 20% this drops to 34% ! in my words!!
      - remote learning inaccessible for at least 500 million students...tbh I thought it would be much more??
      - only 65% of primary schools have hand washing facilities (what are these stats based on???)
      - About 90 per cent of all students (1.57 billion) were out of school.

      - rates were improving...74 per cent in 2000 to 81 per cent in 2010 and 83 per cent in 2018.
      - Despite some progress, 258 million children and youth were still out of school in 2018,

        considering a large proportion of western kids attend the areas like Africa and Asia must be hardly any! Also percentage of kids? are kids from tribes registered anywhere - are these counted??
