Story (Hook):
My family is split into two groups. The family from my father’s side supports public schools, while on the other hand, the family from my mother’s side prefers private schools.
I used to get confused on which one I should follow, but after years of education, I am drawn into private schools. Why? After realizing some strength of it, I can see that there are many reasons why a lot of people would still want to pay no matter how much it costs to send their children to private schools as if it’s better than public school.
Thesis statement:
In fact, private schools are better than public schools.
Point 1: Private schools usually have smaller and more effective classes
Public schools have larger-sized classrooms, compared to private schools.
Some children in public schools might feel that they do not get enough attention from their teachers and peers.
Children seek out attention
Positive: Pursue/ push themselves to have higher gradings
Negative: Disturb and/or bully others
Smaller classes may help the students to have sufficient attention and teachers to give proper amount of attention.
Small classes can help the student to know the children well and decide what learning methods are suitable for them.
Point 2: Private schools have a higher standard of conduct
Private schools focus on the whole person
Competence
Character
Parents want to ensure that their kids are having not only academic, but also character education
Character education is put to practice
Fixing problems early on
The use of uniforms
Earns respects and learning how to respect
