According to the history, upon Columbus' arrival to North America, he killed thousands of native american as he saw them as obstacles in conquering the land.
The society has come to realize that indigenous people were oppressed in order for Columbus to have his "discovery" and wants the mayor to remove the statue for good.
Columbus' statue was beheaded by a teenage girl named abigail adams as she said that "columbus was not a good person" based on her history lesson in school.
A Red-Indian woman said that keeping the statue portrays white supremacist in the North End Park, Boston thus it is only reasonable for the statue to be removed
