How is it produced?
Cheese is made by Curdling milk. They add a “starter culture” of bacteria that make the lactose into lactic acid. Then Rennet is added to the curdled milk to separate the curds to start the process into making cheese.
How is it processed?
Cheese is processed by melting cheese and emulsifying and adding preservatives, artificial flavoring, and double the amount of salt than in just natural cheese. The cheese is reformed into a different shape of processed cheese.
How is cheese transported from farm to the processor.
Cheese is transported by trucks that are refrigerated. The cheese has to be cold, so that it doesn’t go bad. The dairy is held in tanker trucks that are sealed.
How is cheese distributed to the consumer?
Cheese is distributed by putting in stores, restaurants, and your house. When the cheese is ready to be sold, the farmer takes the cheese to stores. The store will sell the cheese to us.

There are breeder flocks that lay a fertile egg that hatch pullets. The pullets go to breeder houses. They lay fertile eggs. Those eggs go to the hatchery where a broiler is hatched. The broiler will go to a broiler farm until they are at marketing weight.
How are Chickens processed?
When the chicken arrives at the processing plant, The worker humanely takes the chicken onto a moving line. The chicken is suspended by their feet. They will be humanely slaughtered and butchered.
How are chickens transported from the farm to the processor?
Birds are usually caught by hand and put into crates. The crates go on a truck that will transport them to the processor. The chicken will be taken out of the crates and into the processor plant.
How are chicken distributed to the consumer?
After the chicken hits marketing weight, they will go to the processor. Then the finished product will go to the distribution center, then go to customers that will sell the chicken like stores and restaurants.

After the corn is in the ground, it will germinate in 5 to 12 days. The corn will grow a stalk, pointed leaves, and the corn. When it's ready, we will harvest it and process the corn.

Corn is processed by a machine that will cut the kernels off right next to the core. The kernels are washed and put into a can.

Tomatoes would be planted in late Spring or Early Summer. They are planted and take 90-130 days to mature. Then they are harvested and taken to the processor. They are picked unripe to prevent the tomatoes from breaking.
How are tomatoes processed?
Depending on what the processor is trying to make, the tomatoes can be concentrated and dried. They could be pureed into tomato pastes.
How are tomatoes transported from farm to processor?
Tomatoes are transported unripe, they are transported in huge trucks that will bring the tomato to the processor.
How are tomatoes distributed to the consumers?
Tomatoes are distributed in store if in tomato sauce, tomato juice, or canned tomatoes. Ripe tomatoes can be found in stores, but mostly at farmer markets.

The Processor gets the corn and depending on the product. Canned corn will be cut off the the con as close to the core as possible. The closest you are to the core, the sweeter the corn is. Corn can be made into oil, sweet corn, and corn tortillas. Corn is also used for ethanol for gas.

What are some ways agricultural products are packaged for convenient human consumption? Tomatoes are an example. They are packaged in cans, the tomatoes would be diced already. All you have to do is open the can. Tomatoes are also pureed or juiced. You can buy pureed in a can, so you don’t have to do it yourself. Packaging these tomatoes makes it convenient for us. We don’t have to process the tomato ourselves. Corn is canned, in oils, and in crayons so we don’t have to do it ourselves. That's the convenience of packaging the food.
How have shipping methods/transportation influenced the availability of food around the world? This transportation method influenced the farming of food all around the world. Indian produce the most chickens. Those chickens are transported all around the world for people to eat. They can be transported by truck, barges, and even planes. All foods can be transported anywhere as long as the food is treated well and is put into the right climate.
How has food processing influenced the availability of food items? The way factories process food influences the availability of food by making sure the food item doesn't get rotten or broken. The processors do certain things to prevent fruit, vegetables, and meat from spoiling. This makes the availability of food last for a long time, and more food is put into stores for the consumers.
Recipe for Chicken Enchilada
Ingredient
1 can (10 ounces) enchilada sauce, divided
4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
1-1/2 cups salsa
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles
10 flour tortillas (6 inches)
1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend

Steps
Spoon 1/2 cup enchilada sauce into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. In a large saucepan, cook and stir the cream cheese and salsa over medium heat until blended, 2-3 minutes. Stir in the chicken, beans and chilies.
Place about 1/3 cup of chicken mixture down the center of each tortilla. Roll up and place seam side down over sauce. Top with remaining enchilada sauce; sprinkle with cheese.
Cover and bake at 350° until heated through, 25-30 minutes. If desired, serve with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and olives.
