Infection and Responce - Coggle Diagram

- - - - You can treat viruses with antivirals.
  - - - You can treat bacterial infections with antibiotics. Antibiotics produce antibodies which kill the bacteria and anti-toxins which make the bacterias toxins useless.

  - - - C3 Protein - The C3 Protein starts the compliment system and activates when it detects bacteria infections or antibodies make it activate, When it is activated it produces C3a and C3b proteins
        
        C3a - C3a floods away from the bacteria and try to find "sleeping" macrophages, the macrophages then follow the C3a proteins to the bacterial infection.
        
        C3b - C3b is like a seeking missle that searches for bacteria to hook onto. Once it has hooked onto a bacteria it gains more proteins and forms a C3 Convertase
        
        C3 Convertase - The C3 Convertase helps phagosytes "eat" the bacterium.
      - C5 Convertase - The C5 Convertase is like the C3 convertase but more complex
        
        Membrane Attack Complex - Is formed with the help of C5 Convertases and needs C9 Proteins to advance
        
        C9 - Shaped like long sticks, they go the Membrane Attack Complex and dig into the bacterias membrane untill it forms a uncloseable hole. This causes the bacteruims incides to leak out, killing it.
