Britain sided with France and Turkey in a war against Russia in order to limit Russian expansion and maintain balance of power in Europe
BOER WAR
Boer wars broke out in South Africa between the original white colonizers, the Boers, and foreigners.
Concentration camps for civilians were used for the first time by the English troops sent there, and Europe faced the first fight for expansion abroad. For all these reasons, the war was not fully supported by English public opinion also because the enemy was white and the battle was not fought to bring civilization to poor natives.
