Simple present
Meanings
We use this when we are referring to to habits, the future and instructions
Structures
Third person + "s" at the end of the verb
Does + the verb in infinitive ( for questions )
For negatives is subject + verb in negative
Use
To express habits
To give indications or schedule things (time)
To express permanent wishes
Example:
ºWhen does the class start?
ºIt starts at 10

Structures
Present of the verb to be + present participle
Meanings
When we refer to something that is incomplete
Use
To describe an actual trend.
For a future or temporal event.
To describe an action that has place in that moment.
Examples:
I'm writing a poem now
Peter is leaving outside
They're buying a new car
Be + going to
Structures: Subject +be+going to+ verb
Meanings: When you use be + going to talk about the future it means that you are not sure about what is going to happen in the near future
Use: to make predictions that are not so far in the future.
Examples: It is going to rain, look at these clouds. What do you think it is going to happen next?
Will
Structures: Subject+will+verb
Meanings: When you use will to talk about the future it means that you are not sure about what is going to happen
Use: It is used to make predictions about the future
Examples: Mexico will win the next world cup. Ecuador definitely won't win it.
