Summative assessments are used to evaluate students understanding at the end of a unit. These test are very important and are high stakes
Cumulative Work: This is completed over an extended period of time such as a final project or creative portfolio. A portfolio is multiple assessments combined together that show a wide range of a students understanding.
End-of-Unit Test: This test is taken at the end of a unit to measure students knowledge after they have finished a unit.
Benchmark: This is an assessment that is taken twice a year to assess students understand before the end of a semester. This assessment allows for teachers to change their instruction if students result do not show understanding.
STAAR: This is a yearly test for students third grade to 12th grade. It is a Texas Standardized test that is used to assess students knowledge to asses f their understanding is up to grade level standard.

3-2-1 Exit Slip: This is when students will write three things they learned, two things they found interesting, and one question they still have about the lesson.
