Formative
Mind Map: Students can draw a mind map to show their perception and understanding of a particular topic.
Definition : different types of methods that teachers use to evaluate student comprehension and learning during a particular unit or course.
Quizziz: a platform where students can answer questions pertaining to the unit and compete against other students. This assessment shows the percentage of correct answers for each questions at the end of the quizziz as well.
Summative
Definition: a type of assessment used to evaluate student learning usually conducted at the end of an unit.
Final Project: Have students work together or individual at the end of a unit by using a PowerPoint, paper, or project to show their understanding.
Final Exam: An exam given at the end of a unit, semester, or year to gauge student learning over the instructional period.
Diagnostic
Definition: This assessment allows teachers to diagnose student weaknesses, strength, knowledge, and skills.
Running Records: Where a student reads a book while a teacher tracks along taking note of errors, rate, self correction, and comprehension.
PAST Test: A test that evaluates students phonological awareness to gauge where to begin their intervention or instructional level.
Preformance
Definition: these types of assessments open up the opportunity to preform a task rather than select questions from a pre-made list.
Plays: Where students can act out a certain scenario or scene in time to best evaluate their comprehension of a topic.
Science Fairs: Where students will create a project about a particular topic of science and explore it individually to compete against other students in a fair setting.

Interim/Benchmark
Definition: an assessment that teachers use to track where students are in their academic learning process and to see whether there needs to be a research or to speed up curriculum.

District Assessments: Test given after each 9 weeks to track student understanding of TEKS talked about.
