America needs the pennies more than ever but some people are disagreeing.
But, the penny matters now, more than ever.
People are scared and divided and have trouble even sharing a sidewalk without finding disagreements.
At this point, civility in America is on the ropes.
The penny matters more than ever right now, Its not the time to argue about whether or not we should keep the coin.

but when I raise children in this country, I'd at least like to be able to point to the 16th president of the United States of America and recall what true patriotism meant.
The next generation may not have pennies at that point in time, people use currency free ways to have money.
the trend toward cashless businesses and Apple Pay and other currency-free acts of commerce,
it's fair to wonder if the next generation of youth would even be aware of the beautiful brown sight that is a freshly-minted American penny.
There is a lot of things that you will not be able to do if people stop making pennies, many things people enjoyed doing.
Spending hours rolling them into small paper cylinders.
Flattening them as a souvenir in those big tourist-attraction machines.
If pennies go away and stop being made you will not be able to spare change for the needy.
