    - - Internet services: e-mail, chatting, IM, electronic discussion groups, the web
      - Voice over IP: Delivers voice info in digital form using packet switching, avoiding tolls charges by local and long distance telephone networks
      - Unified communications: Integrates disparate channels for voice communications, data communications, IM, email, and e-conferencing into a single experience where users can switch between different communication modes
      - Virtual private networks: Secure, encrypted, private network that has been configured within a public network to take advantage of the economies of scale & mgmt facilities of large networks
    - - Web servers: Software for locating and managing stored web pages, it locates the web pages a user requests on the computer where they are stored and delivers the web pages to the user's computer, e.g. Apache HTTP Server, Microsoft IIS
      - Searching for info on the web: Using search engines, we can find useful info on the web nearly instantly, e.g. Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!
