Yes
Intervention
Request intervention from Learning Support System; together with the teacher, have an expert observe the student
The expert, without making it obvious to the student, observes the student for a given time
Identify signs of behavioral change- Is the student acting silly? Is the student not completing work? Is the student not focusing in class?
Form a team of admins, teachers, and experts to help the struggling student
Hold a meeting with parents / guardians to discuss concerns regarding learning disabilities
Parent may seek outside advice and / or medical attention
Parent decide whether to go with the school's decision about supporting the student
Provide on-going support for the student-- set individual and long-term goals for the student
