It must be complete and it should provide the focus of your investigation
Should serve as a mini-abstract of your investigation

It's the most important part of your proposal
If it gets your audience's attention, they will stay with you throughout your proposal
The rest of your proposal supports this section
Clear statement of the problem
It is the focal point of your research
It should state what you will be studying
"Why does this research need to be conducted?"
Purpose of the study
Describes the goals and objectives that are the targets and desired outcomes of work done by you to find answers to the problem or issue under investigation.
Definitions
Be sure that your proposal is understandable to a general reader who doesn't know much about your field of investigation.
Significance of the investigation
May include the meaning of the research work to you personally
Should include how your research benefits or impacts others in part or whole
It's one place in which the researcher tries to convince an audience that the research is worth doing
