Performance
Definition: Performance assessments evaluate students trough the actual process of problem solving when completing a task.
Debates: they require skills that are associated with comprehension, research weather that is done in class through content learning or outside of the classroom and argument idea building
Fair: exhibitions of student work show the depth of their learning based on what is being taught and require the ability to explain with depth
Diagnostics
Definition: Diagnostic assessments are a form of pre - assessment designed to inform both the teacher and the students on how much prior knowledge the students have before the beginning of a lesson. It can be used to plan efficient and individualized instuction.
Interviews/Questioning: Identify misconceptions in math when asking questions or interview like individualized student assessment

Formative
Definition: Formative assessments are a way to monitor students learning.They are designed to identify students strengths and weakness and address the areas that need work.
Quizzes: These quizzes would not be graded and other be taken up to see where the student is at and what. mistakes they are making
Journals: they allows teachers to keep track of student progress by having students write in their journals about they topic that are being covered in class through teacher guided questions
Interim/Benchmark
Definition: Interim/Benchmark assessments are designed to measure a students success level of understanding as well as topics they are having difficulty grasping which fall between formative and summative
Placement Tests: they highlight students readiness and determines what classes the students should take at their level

Summative
Definition: Summative assessments are a way evaluate students learning at the end of a unit. It is designed to assess their proficiency.
Portfolio: the assembly of a group of educational student completed work through experiences and documents related to progress toward achieving academic goals
Mid Term Exam: evaluate the knowledge the student acquired after a certain span of presented content.
