        Two generation of poets
        
        First generation:
        William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
        
        -Initially involved in the French Revolution;
        -Use of a simple language;
        -Union between real and ideal;
        -The poet seen as a prophet and moral guide (Wordsworth) or as an idealist who recreates the world through imagination (Coleridge).
        
        Second generation:
        Percy Bysshe Shelley, George Gordon Byron
        and John Keats.
        
        -Always rebels against society and isolated from it;
        -Use of an elaborate language;
        -The torment caused by the impossibility of making the ideal and real coincide;
        -The poet is not a moral guide (Byron), he is a prophet and titan (Shelley) or a man who has a "negative capability"(Keats).
