Arithmetic on Integers
Subtraction
Subtracting Integers have the most complicated operation on integers, because of not only of the commutative property not working on subtraction, but it also has many integer arithmetic possibilities(Positive and Positive, Negative and Positive, Positive and Negative, and Negative and Negative.
-
Multiplication
Multiplying integers is the third operation on integers, among the four fundamental operations on integers and it is the short process of finding the sum if a given number of repetitions of the same number.
-
Addition
Addition of integers means there are three possibilities. They are: Addition between two positive numbers, Addition between two negative numbers; and. Addition between a positive number and a negative number.
-
Division
Dividing Integers has the same integer rule like multiplication, so it's original rules do not change much.
-
Kinds of Integers
The Zero Integer
Neither positive or negative, the number 0 has its own group on the number line.
The Positive Integers
All numbers above zero, they are also the first kinds of numbers taught to students.
