Structure and Function
Plant cells
Chloroplasts
Chloroplasts converts sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide and helps plants with photosynthesis.
Cell wall
Plants need a cell wall because without it they wouldn't be able to hold their own structure, cell walls are a rigid exterior which protects and supports the cell.
Vacuole
Both plant and animal cells have vacuoles, but they are much bigger in plant cells because they plants have to hold more water to keep it's structure.
Animal cells
All animal cells have the same organelles as plant cells, but plant cells have more than animals cells.
-
Animal cells do not have a certain shape, they are kind of like a blob, while plant cells are rigid and rectangular.
-
-
Plant cells structure is coming from the cell wall and all of the organelles working together to hold put the plant. When the vacuole gets and holds water, it gets to the cell wall which holds up the plant, if the cell wall is dry and has been left out in the sun, then it will lose it's structure and fall down or get droopy.
-
Cell membrane: Outer lining the cells, it controls what is going in and out.
Cell wall: A rigid exterior, that protects and supports the cell.
