        Farmers living conditions and production impact : to create the emergency effect needed to snap into the change, the leaders should have to base their arguments on solid features. They will have to focus their efforts on reporting the farmers diffculties and the massive negative impact of the dairy industry on the environement.
        
        Vegetal milks and vegan trend : A potential value creation area in which the company should consider as the threat in the future consumers needs is vegetal milks. Even if it concerns mainly occidental countries, this is a result of the population's wish to protect animals and environement from over production.
      - Performance Gaps
        
        Ability to perform and produce output
        Through a more circular economic model, we think Lactalis Ingrédients should be able to creates value from its energy production. However, its number of partnership with farmers is very huge and distributed also in poor countries I am not sure the company will be able to control the whole chain and to create value from every energy produced.
        
        Capacity to foster individual learning and satisfaction
        The obstacles leaders could face to achieve this goal, would probably be the ability of manager to change their way of managing teams and to think differently performance. I mean that they should have a vision of performance not only based on numbers and profit but also on individual development.
        
        Capacity to adapt
        Lactalis Ingredients could meet obstacles in change from its employees or partners that are afraid of taking risks in changing their habits. This gap could be filled thanks to the organization of global or personal meetings during which ones the new vision and impacts of changes would explained.

        Slow: Efforts must go through continuous improvements to tend to this ideal organization in terms of ethics

        Systemwide: Lactalis is a huge organization and need to change its entiere value system to improve
        All production facilities must be modernized to follow ecological values & efficiency needs

    - - SCOPE
        Regarding Lactalis Ingredients, we know that the company has already made some efforts and has adopted many sustainable solutions.
        They are already in the way to change positively, and are ready to launch important changes.
        Hence, we can assume a radical change for Lactalis, but it’s moderate. In fact, Lactalis has important and ambitious projects with radical changes for the future in the Long-term, but has already started and adopted sustainable actions.
        On the other hand, incremental change is intended to make small adjustments to the existing organizational systems, processes, and routines. It produces small, but often critical, adjustments to the existing organization.
        We cannot say that Lactalis will play a pure radical scope of change, but for the global vision and in the long term, radical change is the good scope for Lactalis
        
        Type of change for Lactalis:
        Transformational change starts with the leaders’ goals in mind. The intended impact of a transformational change is significant. Leaders regularly devote a great deal of resources to managing transformational changes because such initiatives are often directly tied to the leader’s strategic goals. After such a change, rarely does the organization go back to the old way of doing things. Since transformational change is driven from the top down, it is especially important for the leaders to consider how to solicit buy-in and acceptance at all levels.
      - ORIGIN OF CHANGE
        As Lactalis is a large company, many important decisions came from the head of the company, with the board of directors, and shareholders, so we assume a top-down origin of change.
        Even if some ideas came from bottom-up, it’s clearly more top-down.
