Single parent households are becoming more common and less looked down on
Canadian families' lifestyles can be described as a combination of all different cultures and family forms, as each culture gives and takes from one another. There really isn’t a set form of cultures that families tend to follow or exhibit. Also you have to look at how many different cultures are present in Canada.

Black families enjoy telling their stories about their ancestors and also about their family. This is so that the newer generations and children are educated on their history. It is a tradition in most black families to all come together on sundays, to make food and eat together.
It is tradition that once the children get married, they move out. Sometimes the sons still live with the family to help their parents. Women are taught to stay at home and take care of kids while the husband goes out and works. The men are taught to take care of everyone, while girls are being taught to do chores at a young age. Decision making involves both parents but it is mostly the father's word.
