BLUMHOUSE - CLUES ABOUT ERIN
Bindi saw Tyler give Erin a ride home the day she disappeared.
Tyler says he was picking her up because Dr. Vack upset her the day she went missing. He said Erin wouldn’t say what it was about.
Dr. Vack said that Alexis had filled Erin’s mind with something stupid-- some idea that she was destined for greatness.
Alexis acknowledges that she gave her a special reading. She says that Gwen needed a boost emotionally after Gwen cut her down to size.
Gwen says that Erin was bragging how poor Marissa’s work ethic and form is-- she couldn’t handle that kind of arrogance. She did it for Erin’s own good (or at least she says she does-- she may have done it to bring her down)
Gwen says Marissa had a birthday in September. Erin has disappeared in Bindi’s room and abandoned Marissa, which upset her. Gwen saw Erin come out hours later.
Bindi says that Erin only came into her room because Alexis had said something terrible to her.
Alexis says that she was only trying to tell her the truth-- Dr. Vack’s machine wasn’t going to help her get better at dance, she simply wasn’t good enough to get into Juilliard. But Dr. Vack had been leading her along, saying it would make her get in.
Dr. Vack says that Tyler had convinced Erin that being a dancer was incredibly difficult, that she had to go to the best school for it, no matter what. She was only trying to help her get her edge-- she tells you to ask Tyler why he was pressuring her so much.
Tyler says that he had to give up being an artist for the family and wanted to motivate her-- but Marissa was the one who really got in her head about her future prospects, after her ankle injury. Marissa said she would have to quit dancing by 28 so she better get it all out now.
Gwen and Dr. Vack say that Erin was wearing an evil eye charm the few weeks before she disappeared. You should talk to Alexis, because Erin had come into work wearing this gaudy piece of jewelry, and she had pretended like it had some magical power. Maybe Alexis knew what was coming.
Alexis says that Tyler scared Erin and she was only trying to help calm her. You should talk to Tyler about why he scared her.
Tyler said that Erin had returned to his office as a patient one last time, just a week before she went missing (he doesn’t reveal this until guests ask why he scared her). She said that she was having dreams, nightmares about an ancient plot of revenge that was chasing her. He asked her what she had been doing when she spends all that time with Bindi-- she said that she was only learning how to take photos, but then she burst into tears. He says you should ask Bindi and ask what they had been doing together.
Bindi says that she was the only one Erin could trust. She had actually wanted to quit dance, she felt like she really wanted to be behind the scenes, but because she was getting so good, she thought she had to perform to make her mom proud.
The day before Erin went missing, Bindi saw Gwen yelling at her in the front yard. Erin ran off crying.
Alexis says that when the cards say it’s true love, it’s true love. But she was just trying to distract Erin from a cockamamie scheme that Vack had created for her. Erin wanted to please Vack, but clearly didn’t want to do the sleep trial that Vack had created for her, so she needed another plan for her fall break.
Dr. Vack said that Erin hadn’t been sleeping so she had scheduled a sleep study for her. Her sleep schedule was thrown off ever since Tyler had taken the girls to San Francisco for Labor Day weekend-- she had been getting nightmares-- you should talk to Tyler about what happened there.
Tyler says that over that weekend, the girls got in their big blowout. He didn’t have anything to do with it, he was out getting clam chowder when they started fighting. They didn’t speak for two days. But you know who Erin tells everything to? Bindi.`
Bindi says that Marissa had started to call Erin Julianna. Erin hated it-- wouldn’t stop. And finally blew up about it.
