Canada East,West, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick said yes. Newfoundland and PEI both said no NF joined in 1949 and PEI joined in 1964. They went to discuss the plans with Britain and Britain already wanted them to join together and leave their side. Quebec wanted a separate school system. Canada was a country in 1967 July 1st
