Can it be learned?
The Genetic Side Component
The limbic system workis to govern feelings, drives and impulses
This means that the limbic system is at the core of emotional intelligence
It takes longer to train the limbic system than it does the neocortex which usually is associated with analytical ability
Nurture Component
Emotional Intelligence has been seen to increase with age
However, this does NOT guarantee that from age emotional intelligence will be heightened
It requires commitment and enthusiasm from learner
