Summative
Definition: This type of assessment is given to students after a significant amount of learning time has passed. This assessments assesses student knowledge often consists of a review period before.
End Of Module Project: - A presentation, project or portfolio that the students can put together to display their learning over a module or big concept.
Final Exams - - This assessment is a test that is given to students at the end of a semester of module that assess the knowledge of the students.

Formative
Definition: This type of questioning is given to students to assess student progress in order to efficiently adjust instruction This type of assessment does not typically count for a grade and is classified as "low stakes."
Exit Ticket - A short 3-5 question assessment that has questions that they students can answer quickly and can do on their way out of the classroom.
1 to 5 Show me 5. - This non-verbal assessment can be given to your students simply by displaying a number close to their chests, that represents how well the students understand a certain idea or concept.

Interim/Benchmark
Definition: This type of assessment is given to students periodically throughout the school year to assess what content each student has mastered.This test also provides little to no student feedback.
9-Week Exam - This exam is given by the districts after every grading period to monitor student achievement.
STAAR- A state standardize test that is give to students to assess student achievement and grade level accomplishment.

Performance
Definiton: This type of assessment is when students are assessed based on their performance. Students performances can be a variety of different forms but all rely on the students ability to preform their knowledge in a comprehendible and educational way.
Role Play Activities: This activity is when students take on roles of people of concepts and preform their knowledge about that particle subject.
Class Debates: This activity gives the students the opportunity to firmly choose an opinion about a topic and back up their options using factual evidence. This allows the students to preform their knowledge to their peers in a factual way by still incorporating opinions.
