Special Education in Malaysia is an ongoing effort to produce people who are skilled, direct, capable, faithful, independent, able to plan and manage life and realize their potential as a balanced and productive individual and community member in line with the National Education Philosophy
Programs
Program for hearing impaired students
Special education integrated program (in regular schools)
Ensure that students with special
needs can learn in a least restrictive environment.
Enables students to learn in a normal learning environment and enhance social integration between children with special needs and their mainstream peers in as many schools activities as possible.
All the special classes in regular schools are equipped with appropriate teaching and learning facilities

Special Education Programme for Students with Learning Disabilities
in Malaysia
This programme is conducted at regular primary and secondary schools as an integrated programme
According to Laws of Malaysia (2005:87), students with learning disabilities are categorized as students who have been identified and certified by a qualified medical officer as having disabilities that can affect their learning processes in a normal classroom.
