Types Of Non-V Hepatitis
Alcoholic
-
How it happens
Oxidative stress - metabolising alcohol creates ROS (reactive oxygen species) as byproduct. Excess leads to alteration of cell DNA. Cells die, spill out hormones, attract neutrophils.
Neoantigens - Alcohol metabolism byproduct latches onto healthy liver cells, creating new antigens. Lymphocytes do not recognize it, see it as foreign substance. Neutrophils summoned to kill.
Fatty liver - Alcohol intake (excessive) promotes storage of fat in the liver cells. How? IDK. Too complex.
Hereditary
-
Copper deposited in liver, is foreign substance, neutrophils attack
Ischemic
Caused by = Lower blood pressure (severe blood loss, heart failure, etc
-
Causes necrosis, dead cell clean up, increase neutrophil count
-
Granulomatous
-
-
Neutrophils not transported elsewhere, because pathogen still there.
