Human Computer Interaction(IT3060) :Lecture 01
User experience
User experience is overall experience when someone gets when dealing with product or service.
• Useful- it should be useful one
• Usable- how efficiently and effectively customer can get what exactly they want
• Findable
• Credible-can you trust the product
• Desirable- do desire product over other products (similar one)
• Accessible- can be able by all aspects of people (disable, different knowledge)
• Valuable product has to deliver value
HCI contexts
User context
Time Context
Physical Context
Computing Context
user centered design (UCD
Iterative design process in which designers focus on the users and their needs in each phase of the design process. (Every steps of the design)
• Understand context of use
• Specify user requirements
• Design Solutions
• Evaluate Against requirements
Definition
Human-computer interaction (HCI) is a “discipline concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of interactive computing systems for human use and with the study of major phenomena surrounding them” (ACM SIGCHI, 1992, p.6)
On the other words,
It is interdisciplinary field which overlaps computer science, Human factor engineering and cognitive science.
