Types of Culture: Teachers and schools have to navigate the interaction of different cultures in the school. Sometimes, cultures don't so much meet as they do clash, so educators need to be sensitive to areas of conflict.

If someone can show homelessness, by federal law they are not bound to a district, so some attendants may not be from the district.

Non-Content Teaching:
Macroroles of Teachers and Schools: the school board, parents, and society expect that, no matter what my specific content area or grade level is, I will contribute to student learning in these areas.
These macroroles could be a part of the hidden curriculum, or they could be stated objectives of a class. In certain subjects, The macroroles are not even non-content; they are the content!

Hidden Curriculum: As an educator, I will have to be cognizant of the implied lessons I teach my students. What messages am I conveying to my students? What values do I communicate?
The hidden curriculum is there whether I like it or not, whether I pay attention to it or not, and whether I intentionally engage with it or not.
Am I unintentional about my implicit lessons? How can I be more intentional about what I communicate to my students?
