Tissue Types, Stratified Cuboidal Epithelium - the surface cell,…
Tissue Types
Connective
BONE
They are surrounded by layers of a very hard matrix that contains calcium salt. They support other body organs.
-
CARTILAGE
Has abundant collagen fibers by a rubbery matrix with a glassy, blue-white appearance
-
-
BLOOD
The fibers of blood are soluble proteins that are visible during blood clotting. Blood is transferred through various organs and all throughout the body.
-
Reticular Tissue
may support blood cells and is found in the lymph node, spleen and bone marrow.
-
MUSCLE
CARDIAC
Found only in the heart. heart is a pump and propels blood through out the body. They are very short cells that are tightly fit.
-
SMOOTH
Found in the walls of hollow organs such as the stomach, uterus and blood vessels. keeps food moving through the small intestine.

Epithelium
-
Glandular Epithelium
Endocrine Glands- they lose their connection to the surface. they diffuse directly into the blood vessels that weave through the glands.
Exocrine Glands- include sweat and oil glands, liver, pancreas and both internal and external.
-
-
Transition epithelium - lines a few organs and are rounded and domelike. They can slide past one another and change shape
