Student Government Organization (SGA):

Fraternity and Sorority Life at NCCU provide opportunities that Greek organizations with educational programs and services that create, support, and foster a community of learning.
New Student and Family Programs offers assistance to new students and families throughout the year to help with the transition to college.
Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the governing body of all residence halls and serves as a liaison between residents and university administrators in addition to providing diverse engaging programming and leadership opportunities.

Leadership Development Programs
Eagle Experts is a leadership development program for Sophomore Students to foster and enhance students' leadership development skills.
The Eagles in Flight Leadership Development Program encourages all students to fully explore and develop their skills, abilities, and practices of leadership in order to enhance their overall NCCU experience.
Emerging Leaders Program is a leadership development experience for first-year students.
Identity of a Leader
Role of the Leader: Guide, support, or direct those he/she leads
Sources of Power: It can helpful to have a leader, one who will direct others, organize the distribution of labor, and motivate others in the group to perform well.
Types of Leaders: There are various types of leaders. Some are very authoritarian, and others lead in a laissez-faire manner (very hands-off).
Leading Successfully: It can be challenging to lead a group of individuals with perhaps very different backgrounds, goals, and skills, so it is important that the leader have excellent communication skills so he/she can articulate the goals of a group.
Ethics and Responsibility:
Respect autonomy.
Human beings also have free will--the right to exercise their freedom of choice.
Do not harm.

Be faithful.
Community Engagement and Service: This allows students to interact directly with challenging settings while using skills and knowledge gained in the classroom and extracurricular activities.
