Doe v Bolton (1973): the Court ruled that a woman's right to an abortion could not be limited by the state if abortion was sought for reasons of maternal health; health is relevant to the 'well-being' of the patient, which the gov't swore to protect in the Preamble
Planned Parenthood v. Danforth (1976): the Court invalidated a large part of Missouri's abortion law. Women could now get abortions by saline injection and married women no longer needed the consent of their husband to get an abortion.
