- - - - Background Information
        
        Theory quote: "The principal object of management should be to secure maximum prosperity for the employer, coupled with the maximum prosperity for the employee.
        
        Believes that the employees should work in the best working conditions possible, every worker should be properly train for the job that suits them and the workers should not have to go through any hurdles. The workers should get any type of support required.
      - How will I influence worker's motivation using this theory?
        
        I would interview the employees and see what their core strengths are in order to see which area they would fit best in, and have a trained supervisor observe whether the employee suits the position or not.
        
        I would personally go and look at the working conditions every week and see whether there is any safety issue or concern that should be fixed.
        
        Have a monthly plan for the employees to plan their personal and professional life according to the company goals, but also keep a spare plan in case of any emergency.
        
        I would also communicate with the employees and get their feedback on how they like to job, whether the company is financially and emotionally providing enough.
        
        Arrange office parties (lunch or barbecue) like the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
        
        Have an informal work set up to increase communication, productivity and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  - - - Background Information
        
        Theory: Without the lower needs being satisfied, the other needs cannot be fulfilled. Once the need is satisfied, it is no longer a motivator. However, if the lower need is not satisfied, one cannot proceed to fulfill the other needs.
      - How will I influence worker's motivation using this theory?
        
        Follow the steps:
        
        Ensure that the physiological needs are fulfilled. For example, providing enough salary, dividing the work evenly, to make sure that everyone can get enough rest, keep strict office hours and keep Saturday and Sunday off to catch up, rest, etc.
        
        Ensure that the safety needs are fulfilled. For example, check safety measures weekly, provide health benefits such as insurance and also provide pension. To ensure employee safety, I will also hire security guards and arrange an anonymous website, exclusively for my workers, so that they can report any incident that happened with them, or something they have witnessed. I would overall try to give my employees a high quality of work life.
        
        Ensure that the love/belonging needs are fulfilled. For example, I would arrange office potlucks, barbecues, etc to maintain a positive and comfortable environment for the workers to communicate.
        
        Ensure that the self esteem needs are fulfilled. For example, I will include a moral code of conduct, which specifies that every employee must get equal respect in the company and that all ages, races and sexes must be treated equally. Naturally, the employees will feel personally and socially accepted.
        
        Ensure that the self actualization needs are fulfilled. For example, I would have an extremely observant supervisor, observe and provide an annual report about the employee progression. If we feel that an employee is not doing its absolute best, an interview will be arranged, in order to ask him/her whether they feel that another position in the company will better suit them or try to find a solution to their problems.
