Lipids are also known as fats
They are made of two components- glycerol & fatty acids: no specific monomer like carbs
Fats are digested then absorbed in the bloodstream throughout the intestines
Stored in the cells for later use or used as a fuel for cellular respiration if crabs are not available
Lipids contain more energy (ATP) per gram than carbs
General term for compound which are not soluble in water. (Aka doesn’t dissolve)
Lipids are soluble in hydrophobic (water fearing)
Remember “store the most energy
Glycogen are when you need something easy to grab and burn it
Triglycerides are when its being stored for later (converting it to fat is harder to burn off )
