Potential sources of information

Subject areas involved

Different stakeholders and concepts impacted by the conflict

Global Politics

I am someone that wants to study politics and international relations at university. This research question completely links to global politics and global issues.

Geography

Geography is not simply a subject which focuses on the environment and physical factors of the Earth. Rather, it also focalises on local populations, culture and diversity, and even human development. Hence, this research question could easily be linked to geography by analysing the impacts on local cultures and behaviours.

History

Evidently -- although this issue is contemporary and has not only ended formally during my lifetime but also persisted socially today -- it is historic as it involves past conflicts and past events. In addition, historical analysis of these events could be beneficial for my essay.

My parents (not interviewable).

The colleagues of my parents at the time (important sources of primary research).

Secondary resources such as online articles.

UN reports and reports of other important stakeholders and members of the international community.

My relatives/family in Serbia who undoubtedly have experience of these ethnic tensions.

Politics and governing bodies of the countries in question.

UN personnel and other members of the international community

People from the Balkans (local communities)

Experiments and tests (I have numerous books regarding the conflict at home which are direct reports of different findings in the conflict).

Global interactions and global flows.
