The Ted talk I watched was about how computer controlled cars see the road and objects around it. The car uses sensors to visualize the object around them. Some of the objects they see are bikers, pedestrians, and cars. I know that these cars have been tested a lot and a lot, but I still woudn't try them.

The Ethical Dilemma of Self Driving Cars: This is about what would your self driving car do if you are on a highway boxed in and the truck in front of you drops hay bails. Do you, go into the hay bails and only hurt yourself with a chance of dying, Turn Left into a car, or turn right into a motorcycle. What the guy says is that if a human was doing that people would say it is a reaction but an programmed car would be a decision. There was another situation, well basically the same but the car to the left is now a biker who is wearing a helmet, who does the car turn into the person who is being safe or the person who is being irresponsible. It also talks about how the owners of the car will get in trouble through no fault of their own. It also talks about is a reaction better than a predetermined decision. I think that the driverless car wouldn’t go into the hay bail because it would want to protect the people in the car, but what if this malfunctions or it just straight up goes into the hay bail and you die because of a driverless car.

The First one I watched was Google Driver Less Cars: This was about a group at Stanford that made a car that learned from them and learned to drive and they let it go in the desert and it eventually came back to them. The cars have sensors to see everything around them and can make decisions about driving. They have drive on highways and on the streets in California. The man that started this wanted to save peoples live from driving accidents because his friend died in one and he didn’t want others to die to. I think that sometimes driverless cars could be bad because what if you fall asleep while it is in driverless mode and someone hacks your car and changes the destination. That could be pretty bad. But I think what the man in this video is doing is good because we always think about the worst possible outcome and not what good could come out of it.
