Pathophysiology
Cellulitis is an acute inflammatory condition of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue usually found around the wounds, and ulcers. It is characterized by localized pain, erythema, swelling, and heat. It can be caused by bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus pyogenes.
